Studying piano with Wafia was one of the best things my children did. They learned valuable practice skills that they took into other areas of their life. Wafia is an excellent teacher who challenges students and also allows them space for their individual abilities and interests. She has high expectations and enables the children to rise to meet them. If you are looking for a professional, patient piano instructor look no further! Ms. Kinne's teaching is masterful. She engages the students in pieces that stretch them while they are also learning theory, biographical information about composers, and how to perform in front of others. Mrs. Kinne is very patient and encouraging. She is able to personally connect with the kids of all ages, even seeming to tailor the child's performance pieces to fit their personality. My children are motivated to meet her expectations of musical excellence. Mrs. Kinne is a very thorough, structured, and detail oriented teacher who prepared my son, not only for a great start to get him interested in proper technique such as good hand movements and posture, but most importantly, the true love of playing the piano.
